INTRODUCTION

VicSRC

The VicSRC is a democratic, student-run organisation that supports and represents school students in Victoria. They believe that:

“Students are disadvantaged because of the lack of an effective structure to represent them in school.”

They aim to solve this problem through:

  • Strengthening SRCs and other student groups
  • Creating communication and support for SRCs at a local, regional and state level
  • Increasing the profile of students and by encouraging support networks between local schools
  • Facilitating and coordinating action by secondary students, at all levels

The VicSRC believes that by creating networks of local SRCs and student groups, students can learn from and support each other. They firmly believe that by networking, students will ultimately create a voice that is powerful enough to be heard throughout the educational system.

The VicSRC can be an important contact for any student group, they can be contacted on 9855 8900, 0414 781 413 or write co/ 22 Menzie Grove, Ivanhoe, 3079.
