About the authors

The content of the original Teaching and Learning about Whole Numbers website was created by Kaye Stacey and Nancy Varughese in 1997. In 2003 much of this material was transferred to this resource, Teaching Mental and Written Computation. New content has been added so that this resource is now a comprehensive and invaluable resource on the topic for student teachers and practising teachers. For more detailed information about the content of this resource please see Outline, aims and rationale. The counting movies and spreadsheet activities which were accessible on the original Teaching and Learning about Whole Numbers website have been removed from this new resource and will be incorporated in other projects.
